Merced County ASSETS

After School Student Education: Teamwork for Success


PUBLIC NOTICE: The Merced County Office of Education Intends to apply for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Grant. The Purpose of the 21st CCLC program is to establish or expand community learnining centers for youth in academic enrichment, academic assistance, and physical activity. We welcome any input into this application. Please contact the after school programs office at 209-381-5934 to provide your input.

The Merced County Office of Education (MCOE) was awarded a State of California After School Education and Safety Grant to implement after school programs at 40 school sites in Merced County. This is a collaborative project between MCOE, school districts, and community organizations to coordinate, integrate, and enhance academic and enrichment opportunities for students.

  • Nintendo Wii Recreational Fitness

Program Hours

Programs operate each day at school dismissal until 6:00 pm. Schools dismissing after 3:00 pm will operate for a minimum of 3 hours per day. On minimum days, the program will operate at minimum day dismissal until regular ASSETS dismissal.

Program Cost

The program is provided at NO COST to all participants.
